Big-name RPGs are not the only games you’ll find at Lone Star Game Expo. We’ve got games to thrill all game-seekers – from niche and lesser-known RPG systems, to home-brewed and one-off games.
Here’s a list of some of the other RPGs you’ll find at the Expo.

Old School Renaissance

Also known as Old School Revival or OSR, Old School Renaissance is a collection of systems inspired by tabletop RPGs from the 1970s, including the first and second editions of DnD. Spontaneity is key to an OSR game – the DM can arbitrate as they see fit according to the situation. The games also focus more on the player’s ability to overcome challenges in real-time.
We’ve had Dungeon Crawl Classics, 1st and 2nd Edition DnD, Castles and Crusades, Villains and Vigilantes, and many others show up at Lone Star Game Expo. So if it’s been at least 20 years since you’ve seen a game and you miss playing it, chances are you’ll find a table here.

Call of Cthulhu

Chaosium’s Call of Cthulhu is a horror RPG based on H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu mythos. This game puts you in a dark world, forcing you to delve into its mysteries and investigate the cults seeking to unleash an ancient terror. There’s no guarantee you’ll win against this terror or if you’ll even survive with your sanity intact.
And there’s more!
Your game isn’t listed here? That doesn’t mean we don’t have it. Come to the Expo and find tables for lesser-known games like Fate, Genesys, Shadowrun, TORG, and many more!
